The Space

Our roundhouse shelter is nestled in a hidden woodland glade above a small brook. This secluded space is the perfect place to unwind, connect & immerse in nature. We also welcome forest schools, youth groups and scout groups.

You will have sole private use of 4 acres which includes the roundhouse, the surrounding 3 acre woodland and new tree plantation & a 1 acre field for camping (tents only).

The spiralled roof covers a circular space over 6m diameter, with a fire hearth in the centre and an outer overhang taking the whole, covered, open-sided space to over 10m. It was hand built from natural materials, all sourced within 15 miles of the farm.

The space can accommodate up to 30 people, but 15-20 is a comfortable. Please be aware:

• This is a tent only site. There is no access for camper vans and caravans.

• This is an off-grid wild campsite with a river to swim in and a potable drinking water tap. There are no showers on site.

We’re a unique venue so we need some information from you to check your event will be suitable for the woods.

We welcome:

• Nature connection retreats

• Work day gatherings etc.

• Organised forest school and scout groups

• Natural art & craft groups

• Rural craft courses e.g basket making, bushcraft, etc.

• Quiet retreats and groups

We’re unlikely to welcome:

• Stag & Hen do’s (unless the focus is activities above)

• Adult birthday parties (unless the focus is activities above)

• Large camping get-togethers... unless they’re very chilled and peaceful, in keeping with types of activities above. Unfortunately we cannot allow amplified music due to the needs of our wild residents.
